LANGUAGES
The word "amulet" comes from the Latin amuletum. The earliest extant use of the term is in Pliny's "Natural History", meaning "an object that protects a person from trouble".
An amulet is a special talisman that is used for defense and protection. Certain crystals and minerals form in crystal structures that focus their power to defend and protect you. Amulets are crystals that are usually worn or carried for protection. Only certain minerals are effective for amulets. The minerals of this earth form six crystalline structures, each with its own energy. Talismans and Amulets have a long history - you can use their powers to attract, that which you desire protect that which you value, and transform your life.
An amulet can be any object but its most important characteristic is its alleged power to protect its owner from danger or harm. Amulets are different from talismans as a talisman is believed to bring luck or some other benefit, though it can offer protection as well. Every zodiacal sign corresponds to a gem that acts as an amulet, but these stones vary according to different traditions. Amulets may incorporate gems with specific significance or engravings, statues, coins, drawings, pendants, rings, bells, etc. Figures of elephants are said to attract good luck.
